TANK REPAIR & sERVICE

20 Year Tank Inspection

Many aboveground tanks that were installed or inspected in 2000-2001 are now due for their 20-year inspection. This internal and external inspection is required by the State of Wisconsin on all aboveground tanks over 5,001 gallons. The 20-year inspection must be conducted by a person holding a Steel Tank Institute (STI) SP001 AST Tank System Inspector certification. 

G an D Petroleum, LLC is a locally owned company who is STI SP001 certified to perform this inspection and to complete all the necessary paperwork. Our internal inspection would include visually checking for internal corrosion and spot-checking metal thickness. The external inspection would include paint and corrosion evaluation, looking at dents and bulges, pressure/vacuum and emergency vent sizing, gauging functions and overfill prevention. We would also evaluate the plant as a whole system and provide a listing of recommended repairs. 

At G an D Petroleum, LLC, we offer a wide variety of design and installation services for all product lines. We also offer on-site tank repairs and on-site tank floor replacements. All repairs are completed to STI SP001, API 653 and ASME guidelines.
